São Paulo (GRU) and Rio (GIG) are the long-haul hubs. Distances are continental — budget domestic flights (GOL, LATAM, Azul) rather than buses for anything over 500 km.
Vivo and Claro give strong 4G in cities and along the coast. The Pantanal, Chapada and Amazon lodges run on satellite or nothing.

Eat, behave, pack.

Situational. Cities require street awareness and no visible valuables; the trekking regions are calm and welcoming.
EU, UK and most passports enter visa-free for 90 days. US, Canadian and Australian citizens need an e-visa.
May to September is dry across most of the country. Carnival in February is peak everything.
Northern Pantanal, Porto Jofre, July to October — sighting rates exceed 90% over three days.
What the brochures leave out.
